Committee Report – Fundraising

  • Senior Signs Update – soft launch until WOG is completed

  • Need a point person to keep track of orders on website and organize pickup dates at school

    • Bob Dwyer volunteered to be the point person; Rebecca has said she would help 

    • Possibly target first Saturday of May

    • 100 signs / cost is $20

  • Week of Giving To Do List

  • Everyone on the Board please spread the word to friends, family, sports teams, etc. 

  • Julie M to e-mail a picture of the banner to Bob Dwyer

  • Make the Maury Boosters Website home page the WOG 

  • Corsage Update – 

  • Anne Marie needs to step away so there is no point person

  • Decision made to cancel the corsage project

Committee Report – Teacher Appreciation – Chair: Monica Lynch

  • First Happy Hour Teacher and Staff Appreciation Event– Yorgo’s Friday April 19th 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm

    • Samantha Wegener will work on making a flyer

    • Beach Read Book Swap

    • Need a few Boosters there – Monica Lynch, Bob Dwyer

    • Budget $500 for food/appetizers

      • Motion to Approve: Christine Redel

  • May 6th-10th – Teacher Appreciation Week – 

    • Idea from Dr. LaVoy – Culinary could make something for the staff

      • Dr. Lavoy to E-mail Monica and Julie after discussing with culinary staff

    • Time for set up 6:30 am, approx. 220 staff

    • Monica is still investigating options for breakfast

  • Need Spring Newsletter – mid April

    • Christine will help Julie with Newsletter

  • Teacher Survey Results Discussion

    • 56 teachers replied

    • $25 drawing for respondents – Tenisha Harris – math teacher

Committee Report – Senior Flowers – Chairs: Megan Kiefner/Erika Donohue

  • Update – Tommy is sending e-mail to coaches for spring senior flowers

Items from the Floor / New Business

  • High Level discussion: Boosters / PTSA

    • PTSA board is losing half their members/board; very small group

    • Would it be possible to merge our two groups 

    • There are some areas of overlap and some areas that are restricted by charters

    • Someone from their board would like to come to the May meeting and have someone from our board come to their May meeting
