Call to Order and Welcome

Committee Report – Teacher Appreciation – Chair: Monica Lynch

·      Holiday Lunch Wed 12/13 – Update from Monica L.

o   Slow response so far with food sign-ups

o   Help needed:

  • Pick up Chik Fil A trays

  • Board Members: Arrive at 8:30 am

  • First Lunch is 10:30

  • Courtney, Catherine, Julie M, Julie W

  • Sarah will buy poinsettias

  • Rotate hot food in coolers; bring coolers (Courtney, Julie M)

  • Monica will send out an e-mail to follow up on what is needed

  • Raffle prizes are up on Amazon

  • Boxes are coming in – Courtney will be bringing

·      Teacher Social at Pixels – Update from Sarah W. or Samantha W.

o   Samantha has spoken with Brian who will speak with Pixels owner

o   Target late Feb/early March?

o   Get-together at Dirty Buffalo organized by teachers

·      Teacher of the Year – Hector Medina

o   Vote for monetary gift from Boosters

  • Motion to Approve $500 gift: Sarah Wesley

Committee Report – Grants – Chairs: Julie Walsh, Aimee Umidi

·      Grants in Progress– Update from Julie W./Aimee U.

o   Maury GED Program – Sarah to mail reimbursement check.

o   Math Department – Maury to pay for it; comes due in January so will see if Maury covers the fee

o   Chromebook Chargers – Chargers are still needed; will execute the grant we initially approved for 100 chargers

o   Maury Cheer – Completed; no action items remaining

o   PTSA – Completed; no action items remaining

  • No new Grant Applications for discussion

o   Grant Application from Science Dept for printer cartridges – not approved by Maury Admin

o   Voting record for PTSA Gift Cards grant 11/17: PTSA Grant Vote

  • Forensics Grant that was approved last year – Maury admin originally said they would pay for the materials but now asking for Boosters to pay. Since already approved we don’t need to vote again, will execute.

  • Washer/Dryer installation - Update from Brian W.

o   NPS person came to look at the washer/dryer

o   Need someone to change the outlet

 

Committee Report – Fundraising

·      Fruit Sale - Update from Jennifer M.

o   Sold 153 boxes plus 3 cases of cheesecakes (6 in each case)

o   Boosters will profit ~$600 after the organizations are paid $200 each:

  • Wrestling, Orchestra, Band, FCCLA

o   Fruit pick up noon-6 pm on Dec 13th

·      Trivia Night – Update from Anne Marie W.

o   Planning committee met prior to this meeting

o   Feb 2nd  7:30-9:30 at Smarthmouth

o   Donations to Silent Auction or Raffle are welcome

·      T-shirt sales –

o   Basketball (vs NoCo) – 12/5   Boys JV and Varsity

  • Courtney and Katherine Moore

o   Swimming and Basketball – 1/10/24

o   Written process to use Square and seed money – card is in cash envelope with the process

 

Committee Report – Marketing/Communications – Chairs: Karla Hakansson/Rebecca Danchise/Christine Redel/Mary Fox

·      Great collaborative effort on marketing the Fruit Sale!

·      Next event for marketing is Holiday Lunch

·      Next next event for marketing is Trivia Night

·      Early Spring / March – would like to do Teacher Survey

 

Treasurer’s Report – Treasurer: Sarah Wesley

·      Treasury update: Current Balance $31,452.08

·      Process Sheet created by Sarah – card is in the cash envelope

·      Return the cash bag to Sarah rather than handing off to anyone

 

Committee Report – Teacher/Student Liaison/School Beautification – Juliemarie Vanderburg/Jenn Burke

·      No new business

 

Committee Report – Senior Flowers – Chairs: Megan Kiefner/Erika Donohue

·      Tommy to send e-mail to coaches; January looks to be the first Senior Night events

·       Ghent Civic League – very supportive of Maury when Anne Marie and Brian spoke to them regarding the Fruit Sale
